Code Of Babbleonia
Dear Members,
In the effort to keep things tidy, i feel obliged to set some rules of engagement for the benefit of all. Like any other forum, we need rules. These are not Hammurabi laws, but babbleonians also deserve a reference code to rely on to protect their image, therefore i urge you to read carefully the rules of the Babbleonia forum below.
I am a neutral person and would like the forum to reflect it. I hate to see the forum taking part or promoting a side without the other or taking any sides whatsoever. I'm not a promoter, nor an instructor. Hence i have no competition drive to lead me to takeover anybody else. As you all may know, i'm a dedicated person who has a passion for the salsa art form, purely this!
This forum will be moderated and controlled solely by myself. Members will have to adhere to a strict code of conduct that will restrict any attack, intolerance, abuse or insults. On the other hand, i can't control the point of view of members. Otherwise there is no point in having a forum. The purpose of a forum is to allow interaction, dialogue, not dispute and hatred. Hence, i cannot ban a member from disagreeing with you because simply this is how he/she feels, because this is freedom of expression. But this freedom ends when the freedom of the other begins. And this will be the core moderation policy behind my judgement. Posts that conflict with this policy will be deleted and if the member persists in violating the rules he/she will be banned permanently.
The forum is a pacific space where members are invited to meet, learn and have fun while doing so. Any derogatory arguments, bad behaviors, profanity or abuse will be dealt with firmly. I will be monitoring each and every topic that will be opened.
Language:
Obscene, abusive, impolite, vulgar, derogatory and disrespectful comments will cause the member posting it to be, first, warned and the post deleted, then if the member persists he/she will be banned.
Example: "I hate the way you monkey dance, you're a shame for the salsa community! Your class is a waste of time"...... posts like these will be deleted.
Negative Promotion:
Do not engage in negative advertising to try to lure students to leave a class and join yours. Example: "Don't you ever think of joining X's class, you're wasting your money! We're the best in town"....... posts like these will be deleted.
Explicit images and avatars:
If you upload and post graphic or hardcore images to the gallery or as your profile avatar, your membership will be cancelled immediately.
Posting rules:
- Please do not post meaningless topics, one word posts, or short threads.
- Multiple posting of the same message will be deleted.
- Spamming is not allowed, this includes forums, private messages, comments etc.
- Encouraging illegal activities such as music downloads and software cracks is not allowed.
- Multiple login accounts using different names is not allowed.
- Please use English translation, if you're mother tongue is not english.
- Also while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently the administrator reserves the right to take any actions he deems appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way.
- A banned member is still eligible to support.
- Promoting a product is ok, if it does not include price for the product or service.
By agreeing to these rules, you warrant that you will not post any messages that are obscene, vulgar, sexually-oriented, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws.
The Adminsitrator of Babbleonia reserves the right to remove, edit, move or close any thread for any reason.
The Admin reserves the right to update and modify these rules as the needs of the community dictate to ensure the smooth operation of this community.
I value and appreciate your image and will do all my best to protect it.
Thank you for your great support and may we all have a safe journey in growing Babbleonia to the limits of our dreams and all those who love Salsa!
