So who is this DJZIZOU?

Post by Admin on Wed Apr 15, 2009 9:44 pm

Ziad Nassif, this is my real name. I am originally from Lebanon. At first i'm a social Salsa dancer, been in Dubai for the past 8 years and was first introduced to Salsa music in 2001. I built my own repertoire of latin music ever since. Inspired by some of the best salsa DJs around the world, especially at the UK Salsa congress which i attended 4 years in a row, my inspiration was cultivated during many visits to salsa scenes around the world like Beirut, Milano, Roma, Athens, Vienna, Valencia, Barcelona, Madrid, Munich, Atlanta, Houston, Vancouver and Toronto.

As passionate about salsa dancing as i am about the music, i have an instinctive understanding of its rhythm which you might have felt in my DJ work. You might have seen me playing in action at the most prestigious latin venues in Dubai, these include the Ibis Salsa parties, JamBase, Salsa boat parties, The Apartments Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Trilogy Salsa nights, Scarlet’s Emirates Towers and many more, incorporating my own selection of the most elegant salsa jazz combinations with on2 New-York style salsa. My music is widely known as new, fresh and congress class. I can't wait to get you moving to my newest additions at a latin venue near you.

I love to DJ, to embrace the crowd with the best i've got to offer. The lights are dimmed, the heat is up and the dancers are urging to sweat their shirts off. I usually get a feel of the crowd the minute i press play. As they say in Forex trading, the trend is your friend. Crowds DO have a personality, a mood, a preference, which i tend to listen to, explore, then hit its soft spot. For years, i developed a sense of understanding between myself and the dancers, teasing them and keeping them on their toes. The testimonials i get are a blessing to any DJ.

Keep sweating!
